Why this site exists

Information about Chinese driver's licenses is mostly published in Chinese, spread across government notices, local vehicle administration office pages and social media posts. Many English-language explanations are outdated or contradict each other. This site collects the official rules in one place and explains them in plain English.

How we create our content

• Official sources first. Guides are based on Chinese laws, regulations and notices published by government bodies such as the Ministry of Public Security. Each guide lists the sources it relies on.
• AI-assisted writing, checked against sources. We use AI tools to help translate and structure official texts. Each draft is compared with the source text before publication, and every guide lists the sources it relies on.
• Dated and updated. Every guide shows a "last verified" date. Rules change, and local offices apply them differently, so please treat our pages as a starting point.
• Original practice questions. The questions in our mock exam are written by us from public traffic laws. They are not copies of the official exam bank.
